What is the BYO Wi-Fi Box?
BYO Wi-Fi is a highly portable Wi-Fi network service designed for rapid deployment in urban areas where cellular connectivity is available. Simply power the unit up and within minutes, it will deliver high speed internet service for remote events.
How Does It Work?
The BYO Wi-Fi Box uses a bonded cellular technology to distribute a data connection across multiple SIM cards. This ensures continuous, an optimized data streaming experience for your event.
Where can I use the BYO Wi-Fi Box?
The BYO Wi-Fi Box will work wherever cellular connectivity is available. We utilize the AT&T and Verizon 5G and 4G networks to ensure maximum coverage availability. But much like your regular cell phone, if you are out of cell tower range, or deep inside an interior building, you may have little to no connectivity.
Is the BYO Wi-Fi Box easy to set up?
Yes! Just plug it in to a standard 110v outlet. Make sure the box has clear, unobstructed access to your desired Wi-Fi area, and within 10 minutes, you will can access the BYO Wi-Fi network.
How many devices can connect at once?
You can connect 30 devices at once. Note that the number of devices and the intensity of data use of each device will affect the overall data speed quality for the entire Wi-Fi network.
What is the Wi-Fi coverage range?
If the BYO Wi-Fi Box is set up in an elevated (3+ feet) location, you can expect a Wi-Fi coverage range of 75 feet in every clear, unobstructed direction.
Are the data speeds guaranteed?
No, Data Speeds are not guaranteed. Data speed and quality is dependent on several factors such as:
- Quality of cellular signal (Dependent on Event location relative to cellular provider’s nearest available tower)
- Number of users accessing the Rental Unit/s Wi-Fi network
- Intensity of data use of each Rental Unit/s Wi-Fi network user
Available bandwidth is reduced by the number of users performing data taxing services such as video streaming, or large file downloads. Deploying additional Rental Unit/s in the same location will increase the available bandwidth for multiple users.
